ACEAM Training Division is nationally recognised as a niche provider of local government asset management training. Our track record is testimony to this:
- We have been registered as a preferred supplier on WALGA’s panel under the denomination of ‘Education and Training Specialist’.
- We have consistently delivered roads, buildings, bridge and footpath inspection programs to local governments since the inception of the Road Management Act – over 1500 staff have been trained.
- We have consistently delivered asset assessment programs for buildings, parks and reserves to enable the development of AM plans and structuring asset registers – over 450 staff and contractors have been trained and assessed in condition assessments.
- Our Council workshop (Asset Management 101) has now been embraced in all states. This now also runs in conjunction with the Step-Watch diagnostic which measures council maturity using the Step-Watch model (based on the IIMM). This has been utilised for Councillor Sessions many many times.
- Our Asset Management Planning Master-Class has been delivered in all states through CPA, LGFP and in-house to groups of Councils. Over 1000 particpants have been through this Master-Class.
- Our intense 6 day Asset Management Program, which has been delivered in Australia, Malaysia and South East Asia since 2002 has now been adopted by Bond University as the Advanced Asset Management Unit in Bond University’s Graduate Certificate of Asset Management.
- Our risk and maintenance inspection training and certification program is now adopted by Councils embarking on a maintenance management framework journey. Over on thousand staff have been trained through public and in-house workshops.
All training sessions are delivered in the form of ‘hands on modules’ with real-life simulations through:
- Classroom presentations of concepts.
- Group work tasks using local government specific workbooks and examples.
- Simulated case studies using photos, images and videos of asset criteria.
- Site Inspection – Hands on Assessments.
- Use of any Council specific third party mobile data capture systems.
